Is this normal?

Hi chaps,

Thanks for all the help on my previous thread but I have a new problem!! I have a cheap guitar (fender squier bullet) and it seems that the G string (lol) overpowers all the other strings when playing open chords. Is this normal for cheap guitars or is it a problem with the actual guitar setup/ tuning maybe?

you cam probably help this problem by raising the action (raising the saddle) of the string.

I used to have a Squire Strat in the early eighties and it played beautifully.

I think you can also lower the pole on the pickup that is directly under the G string.....I'm not sure if you can on that particular guitar, does anyone else know?
