I found the guitar I was after on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2384&item=7310640142&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

It has pictures there of it, so could one of you experienced buyers please check it out and tell me whether its a good buy?

The "Buy it Now" price is $895 (Australian dollars), whereas the shop has it new for $1300-$1400.

What do you guys recommend - buy it now or place a bid?

If thats the guitar you want and its cheaper to 'buy it now' instead of paying full price at a shop, then go for it dude.

Save yourself some money lol.It looks in good condition.I imagine any pick scratches can be easily buffed out.

You have just a big of chance getting ripped off through a online store like musiciansfriend.com or even regular store.

I orderd a 5-string bass(esp)and the bolts were rusty, black oily stuff was on the back and parts of the body looked unfinished...someone was asleep at quality control the day that got shipped.

Heck,I remember buying an amp from the store that worked just fine.I got it home and plugged in...dead!

ebay is where i'm buying my next amp actually(most likley a peavey triple xxx)

Cool, thanks.

Yeh, I bought my acoustic from an online store, it said that it came with a "free professional setup", but when I got it, the truss rod was bowed and the action was about 4.5mm above the 12th fret!

Do you have experience with auctions? Is it likely that I will end up paying moe than the buy it now price?

Yeah, ive bid before and lost out on a good deal(video game consol with tons of games) and ive stalked so many auctions too its not funny.Theres a good chance that someone who hasn't researched the product will bid more than what makes it a good deal in the first place. If you bid, then you risk losing by a mere dollar difference.I say unless you want some kind of excitement out of it,then just BIN(buy it now).

If you want to really see how it works out with the bidding, find some things you like and keep track of the auction.

Nice, you made the perfect decision. That guitar kills. Played with it just today, and I didn't wanna let it go...you'll really like the guitar. I can't find any complaint with it with the time I had with the guitar. Those Seymour Duncans were niiiice.
