I've been using Cakewalk Guitar Tracks V2 Digital recording studio software - fed from Marshall Valvestate Line out :-
I have to say that for recording clean guitar, vocals, wah wah, its great it comes with a variety of drum loops, its simplicity to use and has been heaps of fun.
However when I try and record the distortion channel, it doesn't sound quite right.
Over the two years I've been using it, I've improved it with carefull control of volumes but somehow it doesn't quite Mix
Thinking of aquiring a multitrack audio recorder
Has anyone out there come across this ?

This isn't even close to being a review. Please don't post it there.

What are you talking about Rask, it's gear talk, what's the big deal?

It looks like this post was moved from the "Gear review section". Posts in the "Gear review section" need to follow a specified format. If they don't they are moved.

There is a good reason for this format which Im not going to get into here and if you have a problem with the way it currently is Id suggest starting a thread in the "Guitar Tricks Site" forum.

I'm thinking it would be a better fit in the Recording section of the forum, but it's OK here.
