Someone please help me, I'm sorda new at contributing tricks on this site. When I'm at the contribute screen, it looks half-way right. But then when I look at it at the place where everyone sees it. It look different and the numbers don't line up like it was one the contribute screen. That's not all the problems. Can someone please give me tips on contributing tricks on this site. Please, thanks in advance.

I fixed the tab for you.. i think. Are you using your "backspace" and "-" to even the tab out? If not it's gonna look jumbled.

yeah, I'll even it out and I'll have it almost perfect, but when the time comes to see at the place where everyone else sees it it look weird. Thanks a lot for the help.

Ok, sorry to be a pest, but I went back and looked at another lick of mine (thanks for fixing the other one) and it was uneven. So I tryed to fix it using the backspace "-" and it looked perfect, but when I went back to see it was correct it was still off. Oh well, I'll try to figure it out.

I had the same problem. When you type the tab in it looks good, but when you submit it and look at it, the spacing is all jacked.

I think it's because they've used a weird font in the html, and it doesn't line up right. Try using html tags to change the text font, or use the [img] code to preserve the original formating.

I'm trying not to sound stupid, but what is html tags. The closest things I've seen to that is at the bottom of the post page of the forum, it says [img] code is On. If you can help a poor dieing soul from the brinks of frustration please do.

Html tags are -

<i> for italics </i>
<b> for bold </b>

and font size -

<font size=#>

For some reason they're not allowed in the message area. You've gotta use the [img] code. You can find an explanation of the commands by clicking the 'faq' icon at the top of the screen.

Use a really basic text editor and type it out in Courier font at either 12 or 9 point. Then ya just cut and paste.
