I saw someone post something about a Kramer Beretta and I checked out that musicyo.com site and they look like great guitars for the money. But I was curious about the action on the neck fretboard is it any good?

IMHO Kramer necks are the best playing necks around. I don't care for the headstock shape but thats just me. The rest of the guitar seems to be good but you almost always get what you pay for in the mass produced market. There are exceptions with used stuff.

The neck on my Baretta is very, very fast; nice low action but no fret buzz, Ebonized rosewood fretboard (rosewood but it's extremely dark, you have to be up close to tell it's actually rosewood) that is slick and supple feeling, and the neck finish is nice and smooth. I polish it every couple weeks to keep it slick and use FastFret every time I play.

They are an awesome deal. It sucks that you can't just go out and play one before you buy but I have three of four friends who have bought after playing mine. Excellent guitars for the cash!!!

I kind of like the headstock shape on mine (it's got a shape that's very similar to the boomerang headstock on the Explorers) but it'd be nice if they made a dolled up version that had a pearl logo inlay or something like that.

it's this solid oil based stick that's colorless and odorless that you slide across the strings and fretboard that lubricates it. It's a bit easier on your fingers, helps keep the fretboard clean, and makes your strings less apt to corrode. It's pretty sweet stuff, a stick of lasts about 1-2 years and it only costs a few bucks.

The best polish I've found for necks is Virtuoso. It's not cheap, but, if you run it in enough it'll last for about a month or so.
