Opinions anyone?
I think Racer X are fantastic, Paul Gilbert blows me away. I have however heard bad things about their latest album; I haven't listened to it yet.
Anyone else a fan of these guys?

Paul Gilbert is incredible. i was searching for Racer X's "street lethal" for ages and finally found it on ebay. its shear class!
Is it true that Paul Gilbert was in his late teens when that was recorded?
I've not heard much of their stuff but what i have heard is superb!

I too managed to finally get hold of Street Lethal about a month ago on ebay, I had been searching for it for ages!
It's true, Paul Gilbert was infact only 18 when Street Lethal was recorded!
You should check out "Technical Difficulties", it was their comeback album released in 2000. It's an amazing comeback album. (They split in 1988 when Paul left to start Mr. Big, then reformed in 1999).

Racer X definitely kills. The albums you wanna look for are Technical Difficulties, Live at the Whiskey and Superheroes. Don't let their silly cover art fool ya, they're a killer band. And as most of you know, Paul Gilbert is insane. For those of you who are too cheap to buy albums, go download Viking Kong, Technical Difficulties, Godzilla, Dead Man's Shoes, Fire of Rock, and so much more.

Street Lethal, Into The Night, Sacrifice, Scarified, Motor Man, Poison Eyes, God of the Sun, there's so many kick ass songs to list.
I really need to get some of their live albums sometime.
