Welcome to GT.
Not a Telecaster user unfortunately.
My only pet peeve about fender guitars...
I love the sound but can't use em cause I always whap my knuckles on the control knobs.

ever think about a single knob conversion??

i can see where you're coming from, it's way easier to bump the knobs on my Strat than my SG. the placement on Teles doesn't seem too bad...

I've thought about getting a custom job done. Even if just to get the Fender sound or a whammy bar for a change.
I've stuck with Gibsons cause they always seemed to meet the minimum requirements....24 frets, a bridge that's easy to palm mute, knobs out of the way and no weird tuning or locking system.

Usually, just the 24 fret requirement is enough to make me wanna give up.
I went to 3 stores once and none of em had a guitar with 24 frets.

that's sad... the no stores having a 24 fret guitar thing...

you could always go to Warmoth, and get an LP or SG shaped body but with a Fender-style bridge and pickups.

Wellcome Telegirl.
As you can obviously see, people around here have a knack for twisting the thread out of topic. One minute, "...wussup telegirl, wellcome, blah blah blah..." the next, "...turning knobs and I don't know what else..." Makes you wanna go, "...hey!!!!! That's MY THREAD!!!!!..." You'll get used to it.
As you cannot obviously see, it used to be that when someone with a screen name that suggests "..remotely female...", their "hi all" thread would go on for 20 pages. That's right, not replies, but pages. The drools!!! But lately we've had quite a number of ladies (I'm polite like that ;) ) signing on, so now a screen name like "Telegirl" doesn't quite have the screen shaking effect (like those on chat programs when you "Buzz" someone) that it used to have around here.
I'm sure you'll enjoy your time around here. At least you signed on when guys had learnt to keep their hands to themselves.
Just ask one Iiholly how it used to be.

Welcome, TELEGIRL39! *secret sigil known only to owners of Washburn SBT-21's*

I love Telecasters, but I think Fender has become sadly overpriced, so I'll probably build a 1-of-a-kind custom out of parts. In the meantime, I'm having fun with my Washburn version of a Telecoustic.
