I dont have any experience with the G-major but have heard good things...

I have a boss GT-8 and its effects awsome and extremley tweakable. If you need loads of amp models then the line6 route is a good idea.

Stay away from the GNX line unless they seriously overhaul the sound in the GNX2000,but I doubt it.It seems just a bastardized revision of the GNX line.Boss kills digitech in sound quality(and reliability)hands down.

I suppose if you have a rack setup and a space is free or want to build a rack rig, then the G-major may be a good choice.

I f you need good effects on the floor, then the Boss GT-8 is the best bang for you buck.

I had a G-Major, and it is an awsome piece of gear! It sounds very good, and is very tweakable, so you can get it to sound exactly like you want. If you could swing it, I would suggest the Voodoo Labs Ground Control footcontroller instead of the G-Minor. It's a little pricey, but it will allow you to use the G-Major to it's fullest potential. I got rid of my G-Major, because as little as I use effects, I couldn't justify keeping it. Now I just use pedals for my effects needs. I also have a PODxt and footcontroller that is pretty good in the effects loop, for using just the effects. I mainly use it for quieter recording though (which it's great at if you have patience). I don't have any experience with the other gear you listed, but if you're just wanting to use effects and not the amp models (why on earth would you, you've got a Marshall  ), and don't want to spend the money on the G-major and a good footcontroller, I would probably suggest the Boss GT-8. Good luck, and remember "try before you buy" if at all possible.
