Does any1 have this amp (cabinet+head) as ive been lookin at a half stack for gigging and i reckon this marshall fits the bill has any1 got any pro's or con's about this?I dont use many effects its just a wah pedal and then straight into a amp and i usualy overdrive my amp to get the rockier sounds. So would this be a gd choice for a halfstack?
This is a link where u can see the amp

I have a little baby MG15 microstack and it is OK.

It sits next to a TSL100 / 4 x 12 cab which is a totally different beast and I love dearly.

Eh,ive heard...not so good things about the mg's.

A good sounding consideration would be a line6 spider 2 head and a behringer 4x12.
I would recommend a better cabinet than the behringer, but that equates to more money...the behringer(the one with jensens)is at least as good as the mg cab.

Hello,
I have a Mg 100dfx. Ive had it for a few years or so. Its pretty sick, and wicked loud, ive played in a bunch of gigs with it. The Mg series, in my opinion, is a great bang for your buck. The effects are awesome, at first i didnt care for them but i started fooling around with them and realize they can add a lot of warmth and presence to your sound.
Theres a contour knob on the overdrive channel that can turn your sound from a woody vintage sound to the modern metal style. The distorton is not perfect though.
I say go for the MG its cheap, its loud it, it can sound real sweet if you tweak the knobs right.

...Although once i had to get it reparied for 60 bucks, i dont remember what happened. Something burnt out...it still is a low-end model.

I'm not 100% positive on this, but I think that that amp is a solid-state... and that is pretty expensive for a solid state amp... now if I'm wrong and it is a tube... then you can just slap me like everyone else does when I don't know what the heck I'm talking about. (and that's pretty often cause I'm blonde...)

It is solid state. But i dont know anything that pumps out 100w via amp head. 2 channels, crunch mode, modern gain, vintage gain, contour knob, and 5 effects for a few hundred bucks. Its a sweet gigging amp thats what hes after.
