What 4x12 cab?

I plan to buy a 4x12 cab, a ROCKTRON VELOCITY 100 and GAINIAC 2.

What u guys think of the combination?

I've got an offer from a shop of a CRATE BV412s (Blue vodoo)200w 12celestion vintage for 500€ new!... they dropped the price 200€.
Money is limited... :o

I live in Europe.. What do you think I should buy?
Marshall, Crate, Peavey?..

Depends on what style of music you play.....the speakers in the cabinet is more important than what brand the cab itself is. For example, celestion greenback speakers give a more bluesy sound, while Celestion Vintage 30's are more suited for rock/metal. I prefer Vintage 30's b/c they handle the bass frequencies better.

What about the price? Can I get better?

The Celestion Vintage 30's list for about $109.00 (U.S. dollar) each at Sam Ash. They are the best speaker in my opinion.......especially for metal.

From what ive heard,the rocktron gainiac is terrible...never heard a gainiac 2 though.

I've played with rocktron's gainiac and it sounded good for me.. I never played the new version because it's not avaiable.. Only next month according to the shop.. but I heard it comes with 2 tubes plus some improvements.. I guess it will be more expensive thought :(

However.. what do u advise for distortion chucklivesoninmyheart? Heavy with definition and power :D considering the price of course..
