I just noticed a second ago, that when I play the note of F# on the bottom E string I hear a strange rattling noise. This happens when I play it in both octaves. (fret 2 & 14). It only happens on the clean channel of the amp (which is a solid state).
Any suggestions?

Nevermind, I figured out what it was! It had nothing to do with the guitar or the amp. Infact, it was the tv vibrating against the video player. The volume and pitch just happened to be enough to make it vibrate.
Silly me.
LOL
I used to get pretty confused with noise like these , which comes and goes with no reason ... I finally figured out it was stuff like empty plastic cups that I put on my amp which happen to vibrate with a certain note and it's octaves !

I also have a problem like this, but it's with my guitar. When playing d, the pick-up casing begins to vibrate. It has nothing to do with the output signal of the pickup (in effect, the sound is as good as it should be). When I increase the distance between the pickup and the strings, the noise is weaker. But I cannot totally get rid of it.
I decided to get a new pickup for this purpose later. I still have the factory humbuckers on the guitar (as we all now, the factory Jackson pickups aren't that good for the PS-xx series). I'll manage to get a flat plate covered (I know that it is not called this, but I don't know the name of that type) EMG humbucker as the replacement for the vibrating pickup.

You don't have to get drunk , just e-mail the cans and I'll make sure they get empty ... 8% beer plz , and spam as much as you can !

I never liked Yngwie's tone & style , but the diminished arpeggios with the beer cans/amp trick is gonna be fun.

Screw making one song, make a whole album!
It could be named: Surfing with the Octave Cups.
or: III Sides to Every Octave Cup.
or even: Alien Love Cups.
How about : "I shot the cups" ? :D
