Wow...almost 6 years since I first picked up a guitar.I didn't 'get serious' until 15.I think ive made good progression in those, never taking lessons and such.

Hopefully in ten years, right when I'm about to hit the big three O' I have a good collection of equipment...a USA strat,A couple gibson Les Pauls, couple PRS's(the more I look at them, the more I want one)various other guitars and two good 'rigs'.

Now i'm gonna go make a wish list...

Don't get too eager.
Like a lot of the things in life you're told you can't do, can't have, etc, you'll end up wondering, so, what was all the fuss about?

Well, the major appeal isn't really about drinking as much as it is being able to go out with my brothers to various clubs and bars...I think it would be neat to relax at a patio bar during spring break with a light breeze blowing at clearwater beach...

AND THEN A GIANT ASTERIOD HITS THE GULF OF MEXICO CAUSING A 1000 foot SUPER WAVE TO KILL US ALL!!!

My oldest brother(34 now I think) had a purple/sparkley guitar(kramer mabey). He came home one day when I was like 6 or 7.He was carrying a box all excited running up the stairs...it was an amp.A week before I had gone to the music store with him...all sorts of big speaker boxes that got really loud and scary and guitars that looked cool.

I remember at an even younger age(like 2 mabey)driving by a big stadium arena looking place. My family were talking about the rolling stones...I pictured big boulders rolling down the bleachers...pshh...huge rolling rocks are way cooler than what I later found out to be the stones...

Is that while trem picking(Using your arm in the up/down motion)or clean alternate picking(using very light wrist/finger movment only)?

Your doing well if you can reach over 150bpm's just using your index finger and thumb to move the pick.I need to 'tense up' to hit light speed...

LOL@Jolly.

I write, but it never gets recorded. I am too much of a perfectionist. I'll record something, listen to it again in a few days and no longer like it.

Oh well, but I write, so yeah.

Just goes to show: perfectionists should wait until they're GOOD guitarists to write music!

Oooooh, BURN!!!

hahaha, just kidding, dude. You rock.

... I write, but it never gets recorded.... Oh well, but I write, so yeah.Yeah, that sounds familiar. I haven't laid down a proper track since my old Yamaha 4-track broke down. I got this Korg digital thing to work with, but it doesn't feel as intuitive - as organic. As I fart around with it more, I think it will become less alien feeling. Meanwhile I keep stuff in my head, where it it gets jumbled up in the most interesting ways!

I'm 15... I'll be 15 and a half in 8 days... and I only know that because in california you can get your driver's permit at 15 and a half... so I get to start driving soon! yay! anyways... you all have been playing longer than me... I've been playing for 7 months... but people keep telling me I'm really good... and I've never had a lesson... I always have been a fast learner though... lol... I've been in my church's senior high worship band for about... 4 weeks I think... I've only gone to practices though, but I get to play live for the first time this sunday! (it was supposed to be last sunday, but something else came up that prevented us from playing...)
