this is driving me crazy...ive been trying to find a good amp to replace my GNX3 so I wnet out and bought a line 6 flextone 3 XL and im returning it..It has an awesome clean channel but the distortion is fuzzy and you really cant get a good lead tone...I need some suggestions for an amp
Im looking for an amp to where I can get distortion like A) arch enemy B) Testament or C) Exodus and can get really nice solo tones..
Im thinking mesa boogie but im not sure which one...Im trying to break away from marshalls because lately ive been dissapointed with marshalls..
So either mesa boogie, Peavey 5150 or somthing else...any suggestions??
Ive thought about the Podxt but I wasnt to happy with it..didnt sound full enough

Why not keep the amp and buy a distortion pedal?

Yeah,really the gain from your amp shouldn't be THE deciding factor...you can get a much more brutal sound running a boss MT-2 or something into the clean channel.

I get a KILLER arch enemy distortion sound with my Boss GT-8...if you demo one,try the 'natural speed' preset and play 'enemy within'...almost spot on.

hmm...ive got some really nice distortion on my GNX3 after I got off my butt and messed with it...The line 6 is a digital amp and so far other pedals havent worked to well with it
I still need a new amp to replace my cheap crate amp

could you possibly post a demo of ur Boss GT-8...i might get one and sell my GNX3 to my friend...is there any website where you can download patches to the Boss GT-8?
