sweep picking

im not sure if sweep picking is what im thinking about im talking about like when ur playing fast upstroking and downstroking at the same time well anways i think u get the idea is there anyway possible that i could practice getting better at it right now im in the stage of thinking that im getting worse at playing than better and somedays i just say the hell with it and dont play at all can someone point me into the right direction pls THX.

Well, I don't think it's physically possible to pick up and down at the same time unless you have two picks and yea...

Alright, but sweep picking, the way i was taught, is moving your pick downwards without lifting up your pick, and moving up without lifting up your pick. Takes a bit of work, but it comes.
