I just got a Tascam 414MKII Portastudio to help out with my practicing and stuff. Since I don't have someone to jam with my instructor said a recording unit would be the best thing to get.
G.A.S. has struck again!

G.A.S.

Guitar Aquisition Syndrome!
You know, just buying guitar stuff. Like the guy who has three different kinds of tuners.

I just got a new guitar last week, here it is: http://www.musicyo.com/product_specs.asp?pf_id=318
Take a look at the specs. It's a superb guitar, I love it.

Ok, so you weren't refering to the gastro-intestinal kind of gas . . . but to the guitar buying kind of gas.

We need to make up a list or something with all these acronyms . . .

Peace.

I recently got myself one of those Sonic Maximizers (wich is a cool thingy).
And I just ordered myself an Ibanez RG 7-string, so I can sound exactly like Korn and every other hard-pop band out there!! woohoo! (dear god, I hope you know I'm kidding)

In the last few weeks I've gone a bit nutz with some new stuff......Hughes & Kettner Tube Rotosphere,I think it is the ultimate Leslie emulator!!! A boss octave unit...sounds very cool in the higher register solos and finally a SKB floor pedalboard that supplies power to all my floor pedals(finally no more 9volt batteries!!)and it speeds up set-up and takedown at gigs superbly!!!

Hey Bluesman, how tough is that SKB? I heard it's kinda flimsy feeling when you stomp your pedals. But that was on Harmony Central, and you know some of those guys "kinda" exagerate.

I wouldn't stand on it. But I do have a Crybaby on the right side of the unit and I have no problem leaning into it.Also having 2 effects loops makes it very flexable. I use 2 different amps somtimes (a Blues DeVille 4x10 & Tremolux circa 1955) and could run different fx to each.
Pretty cool if you can stand the price. The more I use it the more I like it.

Cry Baby's are indestructible. I've used mine to chock the rear tires on my pickup before. BTW: it didn't cry as expected.
