Hello,
what do you think of Neil Young?
he is the reason i started playing the guitar.
I find his playing too scary and too beautiful,
he can play with BB King's passion, Hendrix's raw power
and he sounds so distinctive.

I too am a huge Neil Young fan, some of the first songs I learnt to play were Needle and the Damage done, and Old Man. I still learn his tunes occaisionally, just did F*cking up a little while ago with some friends which is pretty cool. Yeah, he's awesome, another musician who doesn't let his lack of virtuosic technique stop him from creating fantastic music.

I absolutely LOVE Neil Young. I've got tons of old albums and lots of CDs. When I was in high school, it was NY and Hendrix that really got me going. Which is really hard to believe by listening to my solo guitar playing but makes a lot of sense if you hear my band.

I learnt most of Needle and the Damage done without hearing it (my ma taught me). It was the first song I did. His Harvest album was brilliant but I prefer some of the CSNY stuff like Woodstock.
