There are a lot of tricks on Guitar Tricks (over 2000) submitted by guitarists from all over the world. Some of them are extremely high quality useful lessons. In order to help Guitar Tricks users find the best tricks, I have just finished programming a trick rating system.

With this system, you can rate a trick on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the best. Over time, after enough people have rated the tricks, I will be able to program the site to find the highest rated tricks and show them first when you look at a new topic.

Please help your fellow members by rating the tricks you use.

Thanks,
Jon

Good idea.

I think it would be cool too if there was an area at the bottom of the trick page to leave comments for the trick author and ask questions.

I was just thinking the exact same thing. People are in general to lazy to fill out the comment form. It'd be easier for them.

I think the trick pages are a nice quiet place to study. I am not sure we want a bunch of chatter on those pages.

Comment form? I didn't know there was such a thing.

Still, though, it would be cool if there was a little area at the very bottom, not very big, where you could say stuff about the trick. Kinda like the GW message areas.

ok you might be right jon. I guess I'm just feeling bad for never getting any comments :)

Perhaps it wouldn't have to be posted at the bottom of the trick. What if they were forwarded directly to the persons e-mail? That's easy enough...You could even allow the contributer to decide weather they want comments and replies, etc. Just a thought

Well, there is an email form linked at the bottom of a host's main page. Maybe what I need to do is put the same link at the bottom of the trick page.

I personally think that the Guitar War comment experience is something we would like to avoid over here. Too much

userA: you suck
userB: no, YOU suck
userA: no way, you sucked FIRST
userZ: I would just like to say, that you BOTH SUCK

etc.
etc.
etc.
.......zzzzz.........
