Best of luck to the both of ya!

I've been through a path similar to yours. 4 years going strong now. Just make sure that the relationship is fun and is never work.

Uhh...I think sometimes you do have to work in a relationship...

Good goin', Axl! My only question is, would she appreciate you talking to us about wanting her back and/or getting her back? (NOT a loaded question, just curious).

Jolly, what do you know?!?!!! You haven't dated anyone since Fats McGats!!!

Haha, only kidding. I don't think a relationship should be about work. Do you work to keep your friends? I know I don't. Relationships are about compromise. That's the most important thing to me, anyways. Sometimes there's things that you have to work through....but it should be about fun and enjoying spending time with one another. If you have to work to make a relationship work (work , work ,work, how many times can I say that in one sentence?) then it just gets old and tiresome. And eventually, people give up.

Anyways, hows Mcgats doing these days ;) ?

There is maintenance to some point...

Ive always said "a friend not pursued can quickly turn into a bitter aquaintance"
thats why people with lost and lots of friends have just the same or more in enemies/people who dislike them.
I think it applies to intimate relationships too...things can turn sour/awkward if you neglect them.

I wouldn't say there's no work at all involved in a relationship, although i'm only 16, so my opinion may not be as valid due to me probably not having as much experience. I've been with my g/f, Sophie, for over a year and a half, and i've learnt sometimes you do have to put a bit of work in to keep things good. It seems that communication and co-operation is the key.

Yea I made a remark about the massive "does my chick want me back post"!! She thought it was cool.

Its weird though.. Ive fallen outa love with her from being apart so long.. but now Im falling for her again :)

well, i'm heading into my 6th year with my girlfriend, and that's a long time by any stretch but considering i'm only 21... i think that's good... i think i may be doing something right.

and there has been work. not a mountain or anything but a pretty good deal.

there's got to be someone here who's happily married that can chime in?

... there's got to be someone here who's happily married that can chime in?Uhh... my parents have been together for 53 years now, and they're happy in each other's company.

My brother and his partner have been together for 12 years, and still going strong.

Me? Well, I didn't say that all of us had their **** together!

I've been married 20 years, and in my experience relationships do require some amount of work, just like anything else does, love has to be demonstrated by what you do, it's more about cleaning up kid puke and taking out the garbage than sweet words and flowers, although those things have their place too.............Chime...................

Nah Its not portland.. its port... ahghgh  I'll ask her!

She and the 9 others picked to go over are being put with familys of 10 US acting people. Then later on in the year those 10 US people are coming over here. I kinda freaked her out though by suggesting the possibility that the family she be put with are like that on the texas chain saw masacre!!!

Guys I cant sleep! Its 5am in the UK right now. I start my new job at a guitar shop in 4 hours and I havent slept a wink!!! :(

We have a good turnover, the branch I am is know noted as being the quietest of the 25 stores across the UK. But the boys upstairs dont mind as they see it as being an important store geographically and also as it keeps 3 guys in employment.

It was a saturday. We still met our daily target even though only about 30 people came in. The place was empty for the first 4 hours and last 2!! Its meant to be even quieter during weekdays!

Hey, Axl, Lee is my bro first!

Just because you guys share a common "I love Slash, I want to have his babies," fetish, doesn't make you his bro!

So there!

Hey, Mr. Hostility, calm down.

Quitting a job after 3 days is weird, I admit, but no need for loser talk.

Ok, well maybe just a little.

Lee, where can I get me one of them tin hats!

Me and kev, the manager, sat for 6 hours that day. Not a single person came in the shop. I turned to him and said "You know what.. this just isnt working!!"
I told him it didnt feel right and he said he didnt blame me. The pay was minimum wage and without sounding elitist... I didnt go to uni for 4 years to then get a minimum wage job. They implied at the interview that based on my CV I would get a higher wage, but then the day I started they told me my actual wage!!

With the dollar being as weak as it is at the moment, you can make quite a lot from buying from america and selling over here.
