I was wondering if anyone out there could help me. You see I own a whole pile of recording gear (protools, mics, FX, comps, near fields) and I have recorded people live with it. I even have my own mixing room at home.
My question is this....
When can I start considering myself as a studio? I've seen lots of "studios" out there but they have the same gear as me but they all seem amature. I want to be professional but I don't want to look or sound like them. I do all my recordings freelance. Quite cheap, by the project not by the hour.
Should I branch out and start calling myself a project studio?
How much gear do I need before this?
Anyway thanks
