Yeah I think that one is going to be better than the last two they put out. My favorite is still ROTJ, but we'll see. A movie where good ultimately loses. Can't wait. :evil grin:

I haven't seen the trailer yet. I have a feeling this one is gonna be sweet though. Das birth de Vader.

Yeah the battle with the wookies ought to be really cool. This one is going to be a total tragety though, all the jedi die (well except obi wan and yoda). I'm looking forward to seeing Samuel L Jackson get his butt handed to him. Not that I got anything against him but he always plays such a baddass so that will be different. And the final battle where anakin battles obi wan on the volcano should be really sweet.
I'm just glad this is the last one finaly connecting them
to get the whole story

I just wish Episodes one and two hadn't sucked major ass. :( It takes away from the series as a whole. :(

I enjoyed Ep I and II.
I thought that both were great (with the exception of Ja JA Binks).
It is just a pity that George Lucas has no concept of planetary politics and has quite a crude sense of humor !
Then again I have to remind my self that I am now 35 and remember the original Star wars as a 7 year old !

It's more a pity that he sacrificed his abilities as a director for computer effects. Star Wars became a childrens' movie, and, because it didn't start out that way in 4 5 and 6, it ruined the series. The acting was shoddy and lines were forced. I've seen Natalie Portman's good work, and Star Wars was not it. Therefore we can blame the director for her awful performance.

Oh she was all right, and after all I don't expect or want high art when I go see Star Wars. However the other things I don't like are the lack of continuity.
It is almost like he was making it all up !!!

It's just that the originals had it all. Entertainment, AND high art. But I guess you're right, they were both fun.

I forgot the dude's name, and I'm too lazy to look it up. But I hated the guy who played Anakin in Ep 2. He was a ****ty actor and he really ruined that movie for me. They shouldn't've gotten such a wussbag to play Anakin.

I second that, Ep. III better be better than the first two

Don't they show Courisant at the end of ROTJ? In the new, updated versions I mean. After the Death Star blows up, they show everyone celebrating and this statue of the emperor getting knocked down.

Well there goes that theory !!
Jolly, Star Wars 4-6 were not high art. They were great films but I don't think you could stand them next to the Venus de Milo or the Brandenburgs !

You're right. IV to VI were not high art, but they were not supposed to be. They were supposed to be fun, campy scifi adventures. The new ones lost a lot of the cool campiness, because they tried to make them all serious and stuff. The characters are drab and shallow, and the acting is just bad.

Sorry, I just meant, well-directed well-acted films.

if you ask me, all of that f*cking technology went to Lucas's head
if he would have used the old tricks he used in the first films the later ones would have turned out better, no amount of computer graphics can make up for ****ty acting, bad dialogue, and some weak story parts
**** you jar jar binks, damn you to hell!!!!
and that fight scene with yoda in Ep. II pissed me off too

I sorta found that to be one of the more redeeming parts of that film (next to when Anakin slaughtered the women and children of that alien village that kidnapped his mother). But now that you mention it, it did seem a bit too over the top and matrixy (my own word :D).
