Maaaaaan, is it just me or am I the only who doesn't like people who trash other guitaritst. I'm tired or noobs bagging on guy who can't shred, or be exacly like guitarist such as EVH or Vai. If you don't know what I'm talking about, read some other threads on this forum.
Like my mother used to say in Belgium If you have nothing nice to say, then dont say anything at all.

Everybody has a right to their own opinion, as long as it doesn't degrade into name calling, swearing or any of a dozen other rules that govern the use of this board.
If they don't like the rules, they can go somewhere else.

I think its quite funny when someone goes on about how bad a really good guitarist is and then goes and post a clip of their own playing that just sounds absolutly horrible.
I dont like it when people start saying how a guitarist is bad because their technique is bad, they are boring or they are sloppy when its not true(appart from the boring.. thats oppinion).
Some people should really keep there fingers away from their keyboard :p

I think people should be able to say, "I don't like such and such..." or "I hate bla bla bla...."
But they cross the line when the blatantly say, "You-know-who is bad," or "This guy sucks."
Everybody has their own opinion, but when someone says to everyone, "My opinion is right and you all are losers, who don't need anything!!!" It gets me agitated.
And it doesn't just happen about guitarists (though this is where a lot of it happens), but about just about everything (if you don't believe me, check out the politics threads that happen ever so often in open discussion...)

Yea, ill-formed arguments anger me as well, but what can you do?....unless you're an almighty mod.

In that case, you spend your time here desperately fighting the urge to fix spelling mistakes and play practical jokes on posters.

He said, slowly drawing his twin Barretta's from their holsters. He wondered at how happily they slid out, eager to perform their task.
"Prepare to be moderated," he said coolly, lowering the barrels in alignment with HAMMETT_RULZ_2345's head.
The shots ticked off the seconds. A sinister clock that chimed with a haunting "CLICK" at the end of the clip. Smoke rose from the barrels, and silence reigned. Another day for Schmange.

Yes but surely you could dole out the punishment described by Mr. Jolly McJollyson to make ill-informed posters aware of their faulty logic.
