Ok so that was a terrible summer. I barely got any "real" guitar time in, and the weather was crappy. To top it all off, I was in NH the whole time, so I had absolutely NOBODY to hang out with other than the family (Not that I would anyway - Ace). And I had to work the whole time!!

Well that's not really the reason for this thread. The perfect ending to the worst summer vacation of my life occurred yesterday.

My Dog got hit by a car. My parents have to spend all day driving to Grafton Mass. to Tuft's veterinary center (something or rather), because she has some nerve problem that might not allow her to go to the bathroom, meaning we would have to put her down.

AAAAAHHHH!!!!!

Sorry, Just needed somewhere to blow off some steam, and my home away from my home away from home is the best place I have (That's guitartricks)

Yea tough break man, I had a ****ty summer too. I just got out of college and am having a semi-tough time finding a job. I've been living in my mom's basement since the end of June and am doing my best to secure work and a residence away from home. AGHHHHHHH!

Thanx guys. My dog has a 10% chance of coming back from her paralysis. She can't move the lower half of her body. Lot of good shelling out $3000 dollars did.

I'm sorry, man... I'm lucky in that I've never lost a pet that meant anything to me; I have a bird I've had since I was 9 but she's supposed to live to about 30... but if she died, especially by accident, it would be just as painful as losing a human friend or relative.

now that i live in Southern CA (the land of perpetual sunshine) and am not in school, summers just seem to kind of melt away. but relatively speaking, i did have a pretty crappy summer myself: dad shipped out for basic training for Iraq, grandma died, etc.

all you can really do is roll with it. you're luckier than most people in that you have a guitar and you like to play, so, you have an outlet. most people just bitch & moan about it.
