I'm a guitar playin canadian and ... I have been playing guitar on and off for 20yrs, and now i have the drive to finish what i started lol!!! So if any of you feel that way too, post a reply, i'd love to meet ya online and chat!!! ...I bought my first guitar in 1968, and ever since then I've been amusing myself and anoying the neighbors! I have long since resigned myself to the realisation that I'm much better at buying guitars than I am at playing them. :o

You'll get used to all the Americans online here - just remember that they have no idea what temperatures in Celcius degrees actually feel like, km distances don't make sense to them, and if dollar values are given in Beaverbucks instead of greenbacks, confusion is inevitable. Oh, yeah, and political discussions can get absolutely out of hand around here! :p

Spend some time trolling the Tricks section - the instructors here are the best the world has to offer!

And of course, with Lordathestrings and pstring lending their expertise, your gear problems become manageable. (If I do say so myself) :D

Dont Worry Eggman You Can Call Me Dude Then I Feel Like Part Of The Team Lol!!!

Actually "dude" is code for:

Your a wanker and I hate you.

Of course when eggman uses this term, he actually means:

I'm going to kill you, then eat all your internal organs with minestrone soup, mmm... minestrone.*

Oh no, women are taking over the site!

.... No I've got that wrong, guys are still ruling here by about..... a lot...

Anyway enjoy the site, bla bla bla....

*= This saying has been told to me before by eggman, which is the reason I am now in the Hospital for the legally insane....

In America that is commonly referred to as somebody's ______.

It starts with a "B" and ends with and "itch"

(Careful, their are virgin ears on this forum)

Here in Calgary, that sounds like the description of a woman who is welcome to park her boots under my bed any ol' day!

You're young enough Ace, that you have time to learn these things. I only hope that you're lucky enough to live that long.

Dear Butterfly Angel,

Out of your ten posts. I counted fifteen uses of the "Lol" abbreviation. If this horrendous overusage does not stop, I will have to notify proper authorities and have you taken to lame-ass prison. Where lame-asses go.

Down here in the South where I live, if it ever snows, the snowballs we make are like balls of rock hard ice, because the snow already has alot of moisture in it. It's probalby been 3-5 years since I've seen any snow down here though.

Last time I looked snow was frozen water, which has quite a high moisture content !

Last time I looked snow was frozen water, which has quite a high moisture content ! :rolleyes:The higher air density at low altitude has a lot to do with it. Up here in Alberta most of the snowfall is very light, dry, powder because of the low temperatures and high altitude (~1100 meters above sea level). I use a broom to clear my sidewalk more often than a shovel. In Ontario (~300 meters above sea level) the snow is usually very wet and heavy. It's a major-league bitch to shovel that stuff. I found that a squeegee cleared off my car more effectively than the usual brush. (I found that moving to Calgary solved the problem entirely). :)

Thanks for clearing that up Lorda...

There's more moisture in the air down here (very humid in Mississippi), which causes the snow to stick together easier and be compacted tighter causing a very hard snowball.
