hoi folks!

i was wondering - who of you loves books? especially old and rare books. someone who actually collects them?

i do and i´m actually building up a library containing some very nice pieces. just recently got various books from the 18th and 19th century.

anyone who wants to share opinions?

just a thought.

:D

cool!

i need someone who can estimate the value of a book i got today.
its a rare Missale Romanum anno 1758. Very big and heavy. I got it for 160 Euro (about 200 USD) and i´m pretty sure that this thing is VERY valuable.
I checked a few sites on the net and i wasnt able to find a Missale Romanum like that for less than a 1000 bucks. Prices i found were from 1,000 to 15,000 bucks for those pieces. I personally estimate the value of that book about 2,000 Euro. but i want to know it precisely.

why not? or are guitarists illiterate?Uhhh... just how many threads have you actually tried to read in these forums? It's no wonder that good lyrics are the exception, not the norm.

Is there a library with a rare book room or an archivist near by, they may be able to point you in the right direction.

Das 'Necronomicon', (Masks or Names of the Dead) is a very very very very VERy rare book to find..well atleast the original is..im not talkin about the one supposedly written by H.P. Lovecraft, im talkin about the one written by Abdul Alhazred
Sure you can find "copies" in you average book store but im talking about one of the originals..odd book
